It seems like we've been down this road before.
Well, at least the last four years.
Two long-time Mission Trail Athletic League rivals battling for supremacy in league.
Actually, the last 10 MTAL titles have either gone to Carmel or Pacific Grove.
Yet, the last four have come down to the teams final meeting of the season, which happens tonight in Pacific Grove.
A Breaker win would all but solidify the teams fourth straight league title. A Carmel decision would put the teams in a tie with three games left in the season.
Pacific Grove needed a second half rally to defeat the Padres 56-44 on Jan. 18.
Since then the Padres have rattled off six straight wins behind the efforts of Kevin Cook and Matt Luch.
Brad Sendell continues to demonstrate why he's the reigning two-time MTAL Player of the Year for the Breakers, averaging just under 19 points a game.
Jalen Killian has been a nice compliment on the perimeter for the Breakers while Harvard bound track standout Zack Miller gives them a presence in the paint.
In fact, the Miller-Cook matchup inside could will be critical as both teams look to for production inside when running a set offense.
The two teams have split their head-to-head meetings in league play the last three years.
A third meeting last season resulted in Pacific Grove winning its first Central Coast Section Division IV title in 18 years.
