The former Carmel pitching ace opened her senior season at Emory University in Atlanta by tossing a no-hitter, striking out 14, the fourth highest total in school history.
File, the conferences Pitcher of the Week, is 2-0 on the season with an 0.88 earned run average. She has 25 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings.
Last spring File was a NFCA All-American after setting school records for wins (36) and strikeouts (343).
In three full seasons at Emory, the right-handed hurler holds the career school record for strikeouts (660), and is second in wins (66).
