Salinas-North County boys hoops

While I'm not sure the Condors are sneaking up on opponents, this is a program that has quietly won 10 games this winter, erupting for 77 points in their Gabilan Division opener.
Two of North County's three non-league losses came from two teams that are a combined 20-2 this season.
Jeremy Heitzman has continued to drop in double-doubles on a nightly basis, leading the Condors in scoring at 17.4 points and 14.1 rebounds a night.
A lack of size inside may force Salinas to run a zone in an attempt to contain the 6-foot-6 Heitzman, who knocked down a season high 36 points on Wednesday.
North County has shot the ball well from the perimeter this year with Abraham Calderon and Steven Flores having buried a combined 33 shots from beyond the 3-point arc.
Salinas, which had won four of its last five before falling to 12-0 Monterey in its Gabilan Division opener, has three losses by two points or less this season.
It also has three sharpshooters in Daniel Bost, Jacob Franks and Tim Harper, who combined for 47 points on Wednesday.
