The former Greenfield football and basketball standout completed his first season with the Iowa-Wesleyan football team.
Amezcua, a quarterback at Greenfield before moving to a receiver at Hartnell, caught 26 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown last fall at Iowa-Wesleyan.
The junior will be the teams top returning receiver next fall.
Amezcua led Greenfield to its last postseason appearance in basketball in 2013. As a senior in 2014, he averaged nearly 20 points a game.
A teammate of his at Iowa-Wesleyan is former Greenfield linebacker Roger Pacheco.
