Pacific Grove-Soledad girls soccer

 Two teams that were preseason favorites when the season began find themselves a game behind unbeaten Carmel five games into league play
 The defending Mission Trail Athletic League champion Aztecs have been unstoppable since the return of career goal school record holder Belinda Acencio.
 Soledad has outscored its last three league opponents 20-3, with Acencio having scored nine goals, giving her 75 for her career. Soledad's one league loss was to Carmel.
 Pacific Grove have the distinction of playing Carmel to a scoreless tie last week. Ten of its 12 goals in league play have come in two games.
 Jada Ware has had a role in nine of those goals for the Breakers with a team high seven goals and two assists. Vanessa Barragan has three goals in the teams last three wins.
 Last year Pacific Grove played Soledad to a draw. The two teams are 3-3-2 in their last eight games against each other. Soledad is unbeaten at home this year.
