The former Carmel three-sport standout has matched his career high for field goals, having connected on 13-of-16 this fall for the Miami Dolphins.
An undrafted second year free agent from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the 6-foot-2 Franks has yet to miss an extra point in 28 attempts this fall. He is just six points shy of equaling last year’s rookie totals for the Dolphins.
Of Franks' 52 kickoffs this season, 32 have been touchbacks. Opponents are averaging 21.2 yards a return. He also recorded his first NFL tackle on a kickoff this year.
