Apparently a change in venues has reincarnated Noah Allen’s collegiate basketball career.
The former Palma product, who spent his first three seasons laboring on the bench at UCLA, has transferred to the University of Hawaii, where he had 15 points and eight rebounds in an exhibition debut win over BYU-Hawaii.
Both were college career highs for the 6-foot-7 Allen, the only senior in the starting lineup for the Warriors. Because Allen got his degree in three years at UCLA, he was immediately eligible to play for Hawaii.
In 71 career games for UCLA, Allen scored 84 points, pulled down 88 rebounds and handed out 44 assists.
A former two-time Herald Basketball Player of the Year at Palma, Allen averaged 18 points and 14 rebounds a game as a senior.
