2. San Benito: Can't dwell on its bid for perfection foiled by Palma.
3. Carmel: Wrapped up its fourth undefeated regular season in eight years.
4. Monte Vista: Is 18-4 since moving into the Gabilan Division two years ago.
5. Salinas: Had a bye week to heel up and get re energized for the second season.
6. Seaside: Put up its most impressive win in its regular season finale.
7. Soledad: Finishing the year 7-1 propelled Soledad to its first ever home playoff game.
8. Stevenson: Is headed back to the postseason for the first time in 16 years.
9. Pacific Grove: Sees its run of three straight playoff appearances end.
10. North Salinas: Missed the postseason by one point.
On the bubble: Gilroy, Alvarez, King City, Watsonville.

Palma has a great shot at bowl play-in if they reach CCS finals (win or lose against most likely Valley Christian. San Benito will most likely have to win CCS D1 finals to get to Bowl (but I think it is reasonable to believe they have a good shot given the 8 teams). Most likely they would face Bellarmine (or Menlo Atherton who loss to earlier and would have to go through the Bells)
Carmel has a really good shot at a section title as well.
Menlo Atherton lost to Bells earlier in season.
