Salinas football

Salinas is going to make the playoffs for the ninth straight year.
Points will dictate that, regardless of its finish.
Still, you want some momentum going into the playoffs, which makes next Friday's regular season finale with Alvarez important for the Cowboys.
You don't want to limp into the postseason.
Stuck in a three-game losing streak, are the Cowboys gassed?
Unlike most teams, Salinas will play its regular season out, going 10 straight weeks before receiving its bye in Week 11.
Which will give them an extra week to gear up for postseason play.
Yet, you can't help but wonder had Salinas had a bye week in mid-season, would the results of the last three weeks fared any differently?
The biggest thing that comes to mind is turnovers. The Cowboys had a combined eight in losses to Palma and San Benito.
Then again, the three teams that have beaten Salinas are a combined 20-4, with one team riding an eight-game winning streak and the other a six-game winning streak.
