Palma-Christopher football

 Friday's game
 Palma (6-2) at Christopher (1-7), 7:30 p.m.
Don't be surprised if Palma holds out anyone nursing a slight injury with San Benito on the horizon the following week.
The Chieftains only league loss since the MBL's Gabilan Division was formed five years ago was to the Balers.
Palma has rattled off six straight wins by an average of  26 points, producing a season high 42 points last week with a running clock in the fourth quarter.
Yet, the Chieftains defense is what gets your attention, having allowed just 53 points in the last six games, holding three teams scoreless in the first half.
Drew Dalman had a pick six last week while Stan Smith and Robert Hernandez are among the team leaders in tackles.
Since a season opening win, Christopher has dropped seven straight games and should be ticketed to the Pacific Division next fall.
