Mason Foster has re-established himself as a starter in the National Football League, as he is second on the Washington Redskins in tackles this fall with 51.
Released by the Bears before the start of the 2015 season, the former Tampa Bay linebacker has been a perfect fit for the Redskins as an inside linebacker.
The former Seaside High quarterback/linebacker has compiled 601 tackles in six NFL seasons, including 301 solo tackles. Foster also has six sacks in his career and five interceptions, returning two for touchdowns.
Foster quarterbacked Seaside to the programs first ever Central Coast Section title in 2006, and was the Herald’s Defensive Player of the Year, before embarking on a four-year career at the University of Washington.
