Saturday morning thoughts

Dramatics: Seaside made a late charge before falling 24-20 to Scotts Valley.
Most impressive: Salinas held CCS D1 power Milpitas to three field goals in a 9-3 loss.
On the mend: Monterey scored more points than it had all year in a win over Marina.
Disappointment: Unable to hold a fourth quarter lead, Greenfield falls by four to Pajaro.
Statement: Soledad's defense posted a shut out in blanking Alisal 23-0 for its first win.
On the rise: Palma coasted to its second straight win over reigning CCS champion Aptos.
Individual: Will Lansbury caught two touchdown passes, returned an interception for a pick six and ran back a fumble for a touchdown in Stevenson's 49-0 win over Lynbrook.
