The former Herald Female Athlete of the Year is on pace to break her own single-season mark for digs for the No. 7 ranked University of San Diego volleyball team.
Tardieu has compiled 65 kills in the teams first 11 matches, putting her on pace for 195 digs. Last year as a sophomore, the 5-foot-4 libero had 144 digs for San Diego.
The one-time Santa Catalina standout has played in all 11 matches for the Toreros, where she is fourth on the team in digs, while compiling two service aces.
Tardieu, a former four-time league track and field champion and state meet qualifier in cross country, was a four-time member of The Herald’s All-County volleyball team.
