Alisal football

I know starting the season 0-3 can be demoralizing.
Yet, I wouldn't abandoned the Alisal ship. This is still a team that will contend for a Pacific Division title.
 It's too good not to.
Going winless in your first three games isn't a death sentence.
Three years ago Palma started 0-3 and rattled off seven straight wins. A decade ago, King City began the season 0-4 and ran off six straight wins to make the playoffs.
Even the year Alisal won its first and only league title in 2003, it lost its first two games and three of its first four.
I'm not saying it's going to be easy. When you're 0-3, the confidence gets shaken.
Up next is Soledad, who won a share of the Mission Trail Athletic League title last year.
First year coach Cesar Chaidez got the effort he was looking for in the second half when Alisal ran off 18 straight points to take a 25-21 lead over Greenfield
Two plays in the final two minutes changed the complexion. One being a turnover in the red zone. The other a missed assignment on a 94-yard touchdown run.
Chaidez has harped on execution. Two missed two-point conversations ultimately was the difference in the game.
What Alisal can build upon is these mistakes are all correctable before league play starts.
