North Salinas field hockey

An argument can be made that no sports program in Monterey County has put together a better six-year run than the Vikings.
 Need prove?
How about a 75-1-4 league record since 2010.
That's a dynasty under head coach Stan Marple.
Because while the players change each year, Marple has been the one common link to this magical run of supremacy.
Yet, it's not just the wins that North Salinas has stacked up that gets your attention. Last season it outscored league opponents 83-1. Two of its losses came to teams that met in the CCS finals.
Marple is restocking the shelf this fall with the return of Danae Snell and Samantha Vargas, who combined for 32 goals and 18 assists last season.
There's depth on defense to support goalie Brittany Fickas. There's that drive and determination for the program to add to its legacy.
