Marc Flores

The former King City High three-sport standout has revived his baseball career for the Joliet Slammers, an independent baseball team.
The 6-foot-5 first baseman is second on the team in runs scored (58), doubles (20), homers (11), runs batted in (59), walks (33) and sacrifice flies (7), while hitting .288 with 90 hits in 83 games.
Flores, who was an all-league football, basketball and baseball player at King City, and a Junior College All-American at Hartnell, sports a .985 fielding percentage, having handled 521 of 529 chances.
Drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 2014, the left-handed swinging Flores was an all-star this past summer in the Frontier League. Joliet has a three-game lead in its division.
