Evan Smith

For someone who wasn’t drafted out of college and cut twice, Evan Smith has found longevity in the National Football League.
The former Salinas High lineman is in his eighth season as a center-guard -- his third with Tampa Bay.
Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Green Bay, the 6-foot-2, 308 pounder was cut by the Packers and Seahawks before resigning with Green Bay and winning a ring in Super Bowl XLV.
In 85 career games, Smith has started 45, including all 16 with Green Bay in 2013, before signing a free agent contract with Tampa Bay in 2014.
The 30-year-old Smith played college football at Idaho State, where he started at all five offensive line positions over four years, and one game at tight end.
