Former Herald Baseball Player of the Year David Wayne Russo has made 27 relief appearances for the Texas Air Dogs of the American Association, an independent minor league baseball team.
The left-handed Russo has 25 strikeouts in 33 innings of work for Texas with one win and a 3.00 earned run average.Now in his third year of minor league baseball, the former San Jose State hurler pitched and hit Monterey to a league title in 2009.
