It wasn't until the fifth game of the year that Cryns emerged as the tailback for the defending Mission Trail Athletic League co-champions, rushing for 1,083 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Cryns was a force on both sides of the ball for Pacific Grove, intercepting four passes last year. His versatility saw him catch four touchdown passes and toss two touchdown passes.
