The former Monterey High left-handed hurler is pitching in the American Association with the Texas AirHogs.
In 10 games, Russo is 1-1 with a 3.55 earned run average. The former Herald Baseball Player of the Year has 12 strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings.
Russo, who is in his third year pitching in an Independent League after four years at San Jose State, is 6-4 in three professional seasons.
