Watsonville-Alvarez softball

With the school record for wins already accomplished, the Eagles will turn their attention to gaining a measure of redemption today.
That could also mean gathering a share of the Pacific Division title with unbeaten Watsonville, who handed them a 2-1 loss on April 8.
The Wildcatz went outside their league for two non-league games last week and were outscored 26-0 by San Benito and Monterey.
Of course, none of that means anything today as Watsonville is 8-0 in the Pacific Division, having outscored league opponents 61-8.
Alvarez is 11-1 in its last 12 games, with the one loss coming from the Wildcatz. It's also undefeated at home this year behind sluggers Melissa Belnas and Angelica Ruiz.
Pitching has been a strength for the Eagles with Giana Deleon having handcuffed opponents most of the season.
