Alisal track invite

A week before most teams' league track and field finals, some 20 teams and 800 athletes will look to get in one more big mark Saturday at the Alisal Invitational.
Among those slated to compete include King City distance ace and Top Eight 1,600 meter champion Roman Munoz, who is ranked second in the Central Coast Section at 4:17.71.
Munoz is also entered in the 800, where he could renew his battle with North Salinas' Raul Bazzara, a CCS finalist in the event last year.
North Salinas teammate Brendan Lepe has climbed into the top 10 in the CCS in the 300 hurdles at 40.93 and will find Alisal's Joseph Jay Montesclaros in the race.
The CCS's No. 2 ranked discus thrower is entered in North County's Manuel Gallardo (155-4) while the shot features the sections No. 3 ranked thrower in Jarod Davis of King City (51-5 1/2).
The Condors Ryan Orlando is ranked No. 9 in the section in the high jump.
On the girls side, Greenfield's Evelin Meza is among the favorites in the 3,200 after her 9th place  finish last week at the Top Eight Meet.
