 All dynasties suffer a bump in their path.
 This isn't the end for North Salinas.
 No, three-peating the feat as CCS Division I champions didn't materialize.
 That's a tribute more to Palo Alto.
 Lets keep things in perspective. You don't build a program over 15 years and it just crumbles.
 North Salinas will be fine. Trust me, if you can replace five four-year players and return to the CCS finals, the cupboard is far from bare.
 Will it sting for a while?
 Sure.
 This was a goal since June.
 North Salinas never hide from having a target on its back. It went out and won 23 games, rattled off 11 straight in reaching the CCS finals.
 It wasn't their night.
 But there will be more good nights for the core that's coming back. Head coach Darren Jackson has built a program that the rest of the county is trying to emulate.
