Salinas boys hoops

 Snakebitten?
 Depends on your prospective.
Salinas could easily be on a five-game winning streak right now.
Instead, it's 3-2 in its last five games.
Yet, not in recent memory has a team been involved in five straight games decided by two points or less -- essentially all five games coming down to the final play.
In fact, in both of the Cowboys losses, they had a chance to win the game in the final seconds.
This is a squad building camaraderie and confidence on the court as it gears up for its eighth straight playoff appearance.
Different players have stepped up each game for Salinas. In a recent one-point win over San Benito, it was Daniel Bost sinking six free throws in the final minute.
Jacob Franks, Tim Harper, Gavin Rippere, Jabari Smith and Gino Uccelli have taken turns leading the team in scoring this season.
A CCS Division I finalist last year, don't underestimate the Cowboys making another lengthy playoff run.
