Capuchino-Monterey boys hoops

The Toreadores have had a full season to think about last year's humbling exit in the first round of the Division III playoffs at home.
The core of that group is back, starting with junior guard Kobe Ordonio, who averaged 19.8 points a game this past season.
The junior sharpshooter forms one of the top backcourts in the area with point guard Jordan Eugenio, who led the team in assists and averaged 11 points a game.
Capuchino opened the Division III playoffs on Tuesday with a 58-55 win over South San Francisco, using a 17-11 fourth quarter to extend its season.
Its offense runs through 6-foot-3 forward Lucas Magni, who averaged 13 points a game while guard AJ Macaraeg is a threat on the perimeter.
Freshman Mohammed Adams has had a strong second half for the Toreadores, who were five points away from coming into the playoffs riding a five-game winning streak.
