Alisal-Watsonville boys hoops

It's been 14 years since the Trojans hung a league championship banner.
 Perfection in league?
 That's never happened.
Alisal can become the first team in the tri-region  area to clinch no worse than a share of a league title tonight with a win at Watsonville.
The Trojans are embarking on an historic season at 9-0 in the Pacific Division, having beaten the Wildcatz by 22 points on Jan. 15.
Of course, that game was at Alisal. The rematch is in Watsonville, where the Wildcatz have won all three of their league games.
Jessy Hurtado has continued to put up MVP type numbers, averaging nearly 24 points a game for the Trojans while his younger brother Rene is averaging 14 plus points.
Six times in league play Alisal has scored 74 or more points as Darwin Ongy and Steven Castro have contributed in the scoring column while playing tenacious defense.
