Stevenson-Pacific Grove boys hoops

You have to be a little concerned about the back of reigning Mission Trail Athletic League Most Valuable Player Brad Sendell, who sat out the second half in a loss to Monterey last Saturday.
While it was more of a precautionary measure, the Pacific Grove offense stalled without the high scoring guard, who is averaging nearly 17 points a game.
No other player for the Breakers is in double digits in the scoring column, although Zack Miller and Chip Wagner have evolved inside along with Jack Merenda on the perimeter.
A rough non-league schedule hasn't shaken the confidence of Stevenson, who has rattled off three straight wins since falling on the road to Carmel.
Sharpshooting guard Parker Olin nearly has as many 3-point goals as field goals for the Pirates while 6-foot-5 Kevin Cook has given them a presence inside.
Stevenson likes to shoot on the perimeter where sophomore Wiston Elstob has become a threat on the 3-point line. Kenny Pich is the MTAL leader in assists.
