Gabilan Division
1. Palma: Four starters are back from last year's undefeated title team.
2. Monte Vista: Two all-leaguers are back on the court this winter.
3. North County: Welcomed the move to the Gabilan Division this year.
4. Salinas: A program that doesn't rebuilt. Instead, it reloads.
5. Christopher: Could be a sleeper team this season.
6. Monterey: Could be a dangerous team in the second half of the season.
7. San Benito: Someone other than Shraee Harrison needs to be productive.
Pacific Division
1. Alisal: The Hurtado brothers are going to be lethal.
2. Alvarez: Used the non-league season to develop chemistry.
3. North Salinas: Don't let its non-league record fool you.
4. Seaside: Perhaps a year away from making a title push.
5. Watsonville: There's always a darkhorse in every league.
6. Gilroy: Growing pains for the Mustangs this season.
7. Pajaro Valley: Can go nowhere but up this season.
Mission Trail Athletic League
1. Pacific Grove: Right now the most complete team in the MTAL.
2. Carmel: Big and physical with double-double machine John Stivers.
3. Stevenson: Might be the best outside shooting team in the county.
4. Soledad: Can it build off of last year's first playoff win?
5. King City: A difficult team to match up with.
6. Greenfield: Has already surpassed last year's entire win total.
7. Marina: Turnovers were a thorn in the Mariners side last year.
8. Gonzales: A lot of youth on a team developing cohesiveness on the court.
