North Salinas-Monte Vista girls hoops

This is more than a pop quiz.
 It's a mid-term, a statement game.
Two teams that have balled all year will meet in a Gabilan Division showdown as North Salinas puts its 35-game league winning streak on the line tonight at Monte Vista.
The only league champion the Gabilan Division has had, the Vikings haven't suffered a league loss since Jan. 17, 2013 at Salinas.
The second of four straight road games, North Salinas' average margin of victory in league play has been 34.5 points, while the Mustangs have beaten teams by an average of 41 points.
Three players are averaging over 10 points a game for Monte Vista (13-2), including 6-foot Delaney Moore, who is dropping in just under 18 points a night.
Four year starter Jordyn Enos has been a catalyst for the Vikings (12-2) with Alissa Foster becoming a solid second option. Contributions have come from Danae Snell and Sherise Robinson.
Defense is what will dictate this game among these two high scoring teams. North Salinas has given up just 90 points in three league games, while the Mustangs have allowed 74.
Three players stand over six feet for Monte Vista, who has won 10 straight games since falling to Homestead. It has also buried 58 shots from beyond the 3-point arc.
