The former Notre Dame High softball standout is now an assistant softball coach at Texas A&M in Kingsville, a Division II program.
Schutzler was a four-year starter for the Spirits, before embarking on a four year career as a starting center fielder for nationally ranked Arizona, helping them to three NCAA World Series appearances.
The Herald's Softball Player of the Year at Notre Dame as a junior, Schutzler helped the Spirits to three Central Coast Section softball titles.
