Quarterback Keon Marsh made the most of his two seasons at Monterey Peninsula College.
Now he’s reaping the rewards as Marsh has signed with Hampton University in Virginia.Last year Marsh threw for 2,145 yards and 19 touchdowns for the Lobos, who finished the year 5-5. In two years at MPC, he threw for 4,842 yards and 37 touchdown passes.
Hampton is a Division I program that plays in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Last year it posted a 6-5 record. One of its opponents was South Carolina State.
Former Lobo teammate Brandon Sampson will play next fall at Midwestern College in Texas, a Division II program.
Last season Sampson led the Lobos in receptions with 80 for 980 yards and seven touchdowns. He compiled 1,560 multi-purpose yards.
