The biggest week of the season lies in front of the Mustangs, who will look for redemption tonight when they host rival Greenfield.
The Bruins have the distinction of beating King City 39-36 earlier this year in a tournament. In fact, they have beaten them three straight times and have won four of the last five.
After two losing seasons following 32 straight playoff appearances, the Mustangs are 4-0 in league play behind Aly Carroll and Graci Rosas, the only two seniors on the team.
Greenfield has dropped its last two games, including a three-point setback to Santa Catalina, a team King City beat by three points in its last game.
Liz Castro is averaging nearly 20 points a game in four MTAL games for the Bruins, who gave up a season high 63 in a loss to Stevenson last week.
Both teams are more regarded for their defense as Carroll is among the MTAL leaders in blocks and steals for King City. The Bruins have held seven teams to 35 points or less.
