The former Salinas High standout continues to flourish in his return to the hardwood for the San Jose State men’s basketball team, leading them in five different categories.
The 6-foot-9 Rogers is averaging a team high 14.8 points and 8.1 rebounds a night through 14 games for the Spartans.The senior is also shooting a team high 54.4 percent from the field, has 15 blocks and is averaging 30.2 minutes a game -- 34.2 in conference play.
Rogers, who helped Salinas to its last league title in 2011, is also shooting 40 percent from beyond the 3-point line and is second on the team in steals.
