Soledad girls soccer

 The maturation of a program looking to erase demons from the past is coming to fruition.
 Three years ago Soledad won three games.
 Three games into this season, the Aztecs are 3-0. Just one other time in the programs 17 year history has it started 3-0.
 Improvement in the win column has occurred in each of the last three seasons for Soledad. That's a program making progress.
 Of course, it doesn't hurt having one of the elite scorers in the county on Belinda Ascencio, who has three goals in the teams first three games.
 Ascencio asserted herself last year for the Aztecs with a school record 21 goals, helping Soledad to a nine win season -- one win off the school record set in 2008.
 This is not an accident. Soledad has already beaten two teams that went to the postseason last year. Dating back to last year, it has won seven straight regular season games.
