De La Salle-Alisal boys soccer

Talk about putting together a non-league schedule to prepare for league.
Of course, when you have achieved what the Trojans have done over the last decade, respect comes from elite programs.
 If games against Bellarmine and Valley Christian weren't enough this week, the Trojans will host De La Salle of Concord today at 1 p.m.
 Before Christmas, Alisal will have faced several elite teams, including Fresno East, Richmond and Mitty.
 De La Salle is a measuring stick, if for no other reason than the name. North Coast Section finalist last year, the Spartans were ranked No. 30 in the state last winter.
 Returning goalie Danny Lomeli has been solid between the pipes for Alisal. While two thirds of the offense is gone, Jorge Cerna is off to a hot start for the Trojans.
