Michael Carrizosa continues to be one of the top punters and biggest surprises in the nation this fall for San Jose State, averaging 49 yards a punt.

Having won the punters job last year as a walk-on for the Spartans, Carrizosa is averaging nearly 12 yards more a punt this season, having had one punt travel 73 yards.
The 5-foot-10. 229-pound Carrizosa, who prepped at Palma, has yet to have a punt blocked, and has placed 12 balls inside the 20 yard line this year for the Spartans.
