King City-Carmel volleyball

Monday's game
King City (10-2) at Carmel (11-1), 6:30 p.m.
If the Mustangs have any aspirations of gathering a share of the Mission Trail Athletic League title, tonight is a must win.
King City has the distinction of having sent the defending MTAL champion Padres to their only loss in league play this season.
Redemption will be on the minds of the Padres, who may have been looking ahead after needing five games last Thursday to escape Gonzales with a win.
Megan Gonzalez has doubled as the team leader in assists (370) and kills (282) this year for Carmel, while Lauren Salvati has been a rock in the back row with 258 digs.
A strength for Carmel has been at the serving line, where it has recorded nearly 200 aces, 62 from Hana Nystrom.
The Mustangs have relied all season on their balance at the net, anchored by Marlene Morales, Grace Shepherd, Natalie Robinson and Aly Carroll.
King City's only setbacks in league play have come from Santa Catalina.
