Last year Jocelyn Sosa reached the state meet as an individual for Greenfield.
This autumn the Greenfield captain wants to bring the team along with her.
The reigning two-time Mission Trail Athletic League champion Bruins will be in the hunt for one of the three Division IV team spots on Saturday.
Sosa and MTAL champion Evelin Meza are part of a contingent of Bruins that have continued to get better as the season progresses.
Individually, Pacific Grove distance ace Christina Hashimoto is peaking after missing the first part of the season with an injury.
Santa Catalina is in the hunt in Division V behind Audrey Bennett and Jessica Gutshall while Notre Dame's Alex Alcaraz will put her name in the hat for a state meet spot.
Chasing spots individually in Division III include North County freshman Faith Mora and Soledad's Yvette Tavares.
Kayla Clayton of Salinas is among the elite in Division I, as is Nadia Perez of Alisal. San Benito is a threat in the team competition behind Ali Kliewer.
