Beau Bayless

 From walk on to starter.
It may have taken Beau Bayless four years to achieve a goal.
But the former Stevenson two-sport standout has surpassed five other goalies to become the starting netminder for the Naval Academy.
The Midshipman are ranked No. 20 in the nation in water polo, having recently defeated No. 12 Bucknell.
Bayless has played in 15 of the teams 17 games between the posts, helping sink opponents with 122 saves, averaging eight plus saves a game. He also has six steals and six assists.
The senior came into the season with 28 saves in his first three seasons.
Bayless was a three-time all-leaguer in water polo for the Pirates, earning team MVP honors. He also helped the tennis team to four straight Mission Trail Athletic League team titles.
A computer science major, Bayless has been selected to be a Naval Aviator, where he will attend flight school after he graduates from the Academy.
