Palma-Sacred Heart Prep football

Saturday's game
Palma (1-1) at Sacred Heart Prep, Atherton (1-1), 2 p.m.
The four-stop section title tour enters its third week for the Chieftains as they face the reigning Open Division champions.
Sacred Heart has had an incredible two year run, having gone 13-0 last year and 12-2 in 2013, falling in the CIF State Division IV title game to Corona del Mar of Newport Beach.
Before being beaten by Riordan last week, the Gators had won 15 consecutive games to teams in the Central Coast Section.
Quarterback Mason Randall is back for his third year for Sacred Heart, having thrown for 338 yards and four touchdowns this fall. Tailback Lapitu Mahoni has rushed for 228 yards.
The Chieftains have a loss on their plate, in part because they failed to produce points on two drives with the ball inside the 2-yard line in the fourth quarter of a 14-point loss.
Palma has uncharacteristically turned the ball over five times in two games, while its defense has had just one.
Quarterback Jack Richardson showcased short term memory, erasing a poor first half last week with a strong second half during a fourth quarter charge.
If the Gators make a conscious effort to contain tailback Emilio Martinez, Richardson needs to come out firing and make them respect Palma's aerial attack.
Martinez has been held under 100 yards rushing four times in his career. Palma has dropped three of them.
