Michael Carrizosa is off to a booming start this fall for the San Jose State football team, as he is second in the nation in punting at 59.2 yards a kick.
Taking advantage of the glorified air in Colorado two weeks ago, the 5-foot-10, 229-pound Carrizosa had one punt of 73 yards against Air Force.
The former Palma High product walked on and won the starting punters job as a freshman in 2014, averaging 37.1 yards as a freshman.
