Clarisa Cortez

Clarisa Cortez has committed to attend Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas on a softball scholarship.

Last spring Cortez won 21 games for Monterey Peninsula College with 107 strikeouts, compiling a 1.89 earned run average, helping them to the programs second highest win total in school history.
Cortez, who prepped at Monterey High, will be asked to step into the circle immediately as Nazarene lost its only starting pitcher to graduation. Nazarene was 26-25 last season.
