Brought up last season as a sophomore to provide depth in the front row, Laughton responded by finishing among the team leaders for Division V volleyball champion Notre Dame in blocks.
Laughton's role is expected to increase this year as she will become more of a factor at the net on the offensive side, giving the Spirits a presence in the middle.
