With graduation gutting the reigning field hockey champions the core of their offense, North Salinas will turn to its goalie as a leader this fall.
Last season Cuentes recorded 15 shutouts, finishing with 64 saves. The senior gave up three goals in North Salinas' 18 overall wins last season.
