Terra Nova at Carmel
Anthony Gordon put on a show with his arm for Terra Nova, throwing for 395 yards and a season high six touchdown passes en route to a CCS passing record 4,889 yards.
Yet, this was a game to the final minute as Carmel quarterback Connor Marden rushed for 179 yards and five touchdowns while throwing a touchdown pass.
The Padres held a 35-29 halftime lead. These two high-powered offenses went back and fourth with the difference in a 52-49 loss being turnovers.
Terra Nova committed two -- the only two times Carmel stopped them. The Padres were guilty of three, the final coming in the final minutes of a heartbreaking three-point playoff loss.
