The former Monterey High standout closed a chapter in his collegiate career, starting 169 games at second base in four years for the University of Hawaii baseball team.
The left-handed swinging Ventimilia led the team in stolen bases this past spring with 12, totaling 46 in four years. His career totals at Hawaii include 174 hits, 119 runs scored, 88 walks and 47 runs batted in while hitting .270.
Ventimilia lettered in seven sports in four years at Monterey High, earning all-league honors in tennis, track and baseball in the same spring as a junior.
