Salinas-Palma volleyball

I've never been a real fan of an after season league tournament.
You play a league season for a reason -- and that's to win a team title.
But if you're Salinas, this is a shot at redemption as it invades Palma tonight for the tournament title.
A win and the Cowboys have a share of the Monterey Bay League title with the defending champs.
Either way, both teams appear ticketed for the postseason -- a first for the Salinas program.
Perhaps the emotion of playing for a title two weeks ago interfered with the Cowboys game plan as they were swept by Palma in three at Salinas.
No one has had an answer for Toby Wisner all season as the Chieftains outside hitter has produced 235 kills, not to mention 49 service aces.
Several of those kills have come from passes from setter Kevin Bass, who has compiled 575 assists for Palma.
Justin Tang has been the heart of the Cowboys attack as the teams setter, while Tyler Hutchison has provided highlight reel shots at the net.
