Sacred Heart Prep has made a habit out of knocking Monterey County teams out of the postseason in all sports.
Beating Carmel 4-2 in the Central Coast Section Division II baseball title game Saturday is not the first time the Gators have ended a county teams dream.
Two years ago, Sacred Heart's football team beat Seaside, Monterey and Pacific Grove in succession to win the CCS D4 title, advancing to the D4 state championship game.
In 2011, it beat Carmel in the CCS D4 boys basketball title game. And in 2010, it defeated Palma in the CCS D4 basketball finals.
