 400: Shraee Harrison, San Benito 49.79. Rank: 2nd. Projected finish: 1st. Jacob Cervantes, Watsonville 49.85. Rank: 3rd. Projected finish: 3rd. Note: Harrison has a CCS leading 48.93.
 100m: Justin Nobida-Lagrimas, Palma 11.03. Rank: 8th. Projected finish: 8th. Note: Nobida-Lagrimas is peaking at the right time.
 800: Raul Barraza, North Salinas 1:55.37. Rank: 2nd. Projected finish: 3rd. Note: Barraza may need to lower his school record time to get into the top three.
300 intermediate hurdles: Paul Koenig, Seaside 39.23. Rank: 1st. Projected finish: 2nd. Note: Aidan Kirwan of Branham has run 38.61.
200: Shraee Harrison, San Benito 21.84. Rank: No. 1. Projected finish: No. 1. Note: Harrison's uncle and dad went 1-2 in the CCS 200 finals in 1993 for North Salinas.
3,200: Edgar Bonilla, King City 9:27.64. Rank: 9th. Projected finish: 4th: Note: How well Bonilla runs in the 1,600 could dictate his 3,200 performance.
Discus: Steven McEnroe, King City 144-7. Rank: 3rd. Projected finish: 2nd. Manuel Gallardo, North County 142-8. Rank: 8th. Projected finish: 8th.  Note: McEnroe has thrown over 160-feet this year.
Shot put: Edurado Barbosa, Palma 46-5. Rank: 10th. Projected finish: 6th. Michael Edeza, Palma 45-7 1/2. Rank: 11th. Projected finish: 10th. Note: Barbosa has thrown over 48 feet this spring.
Long jump: Justin Nobida-Lagrimas, Palma 20-10. Rank: 9th. Projected finish: 3rd. Note: This is your sleeper in the long jump, having sailed 21-10 earlier this year.
High jump: Nick Lombardi, Carmel 6-2. Rank: Tied for 6th. Projected finish: 5th. Note: Lombardi has a career best of 6-4.
