Annie Aldrete

 Annie Aldrete has hit 15 home runs this spring for nationally ranked Tennessee, sharing the team lead in runs batted in with 45 in 48 games.

 Last year’s National Freshman of the Year, the sophomore catcher is hitting .338 for the Vols with 39 runs scored. Of her 44 hits, 22 have gone for extra bases.
Behind the dish Aldrete -- a Santa Catalina graduate and Monterey County’s all-time leader in home runs -- has committed just three errors in 258 chances.
